Vitamin Drop For Hamster

So I just bought a vitamin drop for my hamster. This vitamin will be mix in their drinking water. I will put two hamster water bottle at my hamster cage. One with vitamin drop and the other one without vitamin drop. This vitamin will make your hamster have a good health and not easily fall sick.

I Love To Pamper My Hamster

I admit that right now my mind and my focus are only for my hamster. I love to pamper them. If i go to the pet shop, it's just like I want the buy all the accessories that sold at pet the pet shop for my hamster. But I don't have  so much money, so I just buy depend on my budget. I will plan how much money i want to use before go to the pet shop. Let say my budget is RM40, I will  try to make sure that I will not buy hamster supplies more than RM40. I love to see them play and eat. They are so cute.

My New Hamster Cage

The Habitrail Playground Cage 

Above is the picture of my winter white hamster cage. I love this cage. It's has a lot a space for the hamster. Actually before this, I have a Habitrail Safari Cage, not only the cage but also all the accessories such as maze, loft and etc. My mother throw it away while i was at the campus. It's hard to find Habitrail Safari cage right now in Malaysia. Luckily, I found the same design. It's Habitrail Playground. It's cost me RM70 for each cage. I bought both of the cage at the different pet shop at the different time. Now, the popular Habitrail cage is Habitrail Ovo. I like Habitrail Ovo, but I prefer the old design like Habitrail Safari, Habitrail Playground, and Habitrail Mini. It's good for the ventilation. I admit that this is not a cheap cage, but you won't regret buy it. It's easy to clean and have a lot of space for the hamster to play and run. 

Actually, the first Habitrail cage is an impulse buy. I go to the pet shop to buy supplies for my sister fish, but suddenly my eyes caught this cage at the pet shop shelf. My first impression for this cage is the cage is so good. The price that stated there is RM78, but after bargaining with him, he sold to me the cage for RM70. What a happy day, I rush go home and put my hamster in it.  

After a few day, I need to buy hamster bedding. I go to the pet shop at Sungai Dua. A little bit far from my home, About 15 minutes drive car. I'm just asking the owner whether she sold a Habitrail cage, she said to me that I have to order it. She also told me that the famous Habitrail cage right now is Habitrail Ovo but I said to her that I prefer the old design. Then she replies to me that she will try to find it and will let me know the price.

After a few day, I go to the Sungai Dua pet shop to buy a hamster food. Then, suddenly she show me the cage. She said that she can sold it to me for RM70 but at that time I only have RM50. I rush home and talk to my sister and asking her if I can borrow some money from her and it's my lucky day again, she agree. Yes, I'm so happy and I rush back to the Sungai Dua pet shop and buy it. 

So, that the story how I get the two Habitrail Playground Cage.

Separating Baby Hamster From Their Mother

Manggo baby hamster now is 4 week old. The female hamster will stay with their mother while the  male hamster will be in different cage. This is to avoid unplanned hamster pregnancy. The hamster will be easy to determine whether they are male or female when they are about 3 weeks old.

Tips for Clean The Hamster Cage

I will clean my hamster once or twice a week. It's depend on the condition of the cage. Hamster cage should be in a clean condition because hamster is a clean animal and they are very sensitive animal. They can easily fall sick. Make sure that you do a through cleaning at least once a month. This is to make sure that there are no bacteria in the cage. To disinfect the cage, you can you can mix 50% of vinegar and 50% water. This solution will kill all the germ and bacteria in the hamster cage.

Baby Hamster

Hello

On 03rd April 2011 (Sunday), one of my hamster given birth to 3 baby hamster. The father name is Pudding and the Mother name is Maggo. Actually she should have 8 hamsters pups but only 3 survive. The other five is being eat by the parents. It's hard to watch that they eats their own baby, but nothing I can do. Luckily, three of they survive. Now, they already 11 days old. Only 3 day left before I can hold them in my hand. Can't wait that moment to arrive.

Pudding and Manggo is Hybrid Hamster and their coat colour is golden yellow. I bought them from different pet shop, so they are not from the same litter.

About one week later, on  09 April 2011 (Saturday), my other female given birth to 4 hamster pups. All survive. The father name is Wiwi and the mother name is Wawa. Wiwi and Wawa is a Winter White Hasmter and Agouti colour. I manage to split the father from the mother cage so that he will not eat the new born hamster.

Wiwi and Wawa was bought from the same pet shop and I don't know whether they are from the same litter or not. I know, if we bread the sibling hamster, a lot of disaster coming such as the hamster health will be poor. Both of them are the hamster that I love so much. They love to being pick up by me or my sibling. When I open their cage, they always stand up and try to reach my hand. I fell in love with Winter White Hamster. Maybe I'm lucky enough to get them. If they die, I don't know what going to happen to me. That why I breed them, so that I have their heir.
